The Federal Empire launched several special operation teams during the end of the first robot war. These teams were equipped with the best armor that the empire had available. Several troopers did however succumb as the armor lacked the vital protection against the robots' devastating laser fire. The teams, all members of the Grey Company of the SIF, or Special Incursion Forces, praised the armor's excellent projectile and impact resistance, as well as its ability to endure extensive punishment from shrapnel. Also in the instance of hand-to-hand combat the armor performed well, withstanding most close combat assaults.
